4.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME TV, but not without its limitations and frustrations, June 20, 2014

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this?)
Executive Summary: awesome quality TV with an overwhelming number of features and supported technologies.

There are way too many features to cover in a review, but I’ll try my darnedest to hit all the highlights. I hope you're sitting comfortable; this is gonna take awhile!

First off… ask yourself if you really want/need all of these features. That’s what you need to figure out first. I am comparing this TV to my other Sharp 60” LED 1080p TV that’s about 3 years old and costs half as much. Even without the Quattron and all the bells & whistles, the older one had the best picture I had ever experienced. This new Q+ TV also has an amazing picture, but in a comparison where I didn’t know which was which, I would be hard-pressed to identify a clear winner in picture quality.

But let’s assume, like me, you're kind of a tech geek and want every last doo-hickie you can get, and that’s why you’re reading... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Stop searching and BUY this TV!! This is the absolute clearest and brightest 1080P on the market today., May 24, 2014
This review is from: Sharp LC-60UQ17U 60-inch Aquos Q+ 1080p 240Hz 3D Smart LED TV (Electronics)
I originally bought the Samsung UN60ES8000 and noticed some severe "pixel-ation" issues and shadows behind and around the letters on the screen so I returned it and got the Sharp LC-70UQ17U after doing some more in depth research and visiting Best Buy a couple times to look at the tv's. At Best buy I was told that the Samsung 8000 series was one of the best on the market. Honestly I could not believe that 8000 Series looked like that.
Once I got home and hooked the Sharp up it proved to be a great choice. This tv blows that Samsung out. There is no square pixeling around the letters and the round letters are nice and smooth. The image is super bright and just as clear as an Ultra 4K. If you buy this you will not be disappointed. If you read the bad reviews on Amazon they are all about dead pixels or a cracked screen. So they're not accurate of the actual quality of the image. For the reviews saying there is image loss from a side angle that is completely wrong. Go to Best Buy... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Pros: Brilliant colors, stunning resolutions and clarity, terrific ambient light adjustment scaling option. Con: Poor blacks., July 6, 2014

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this?)
So let's start with the conclusion and work backwards. This is a fantastic screen; it is vivid, beautifully designed and engineered, and performs brilliantly - and speaking of brilliance, the power saving feature that measures ambient light in the room and adjusts accordingly is the best I've seen in this class (it steps incrementally rather than exists as a binary and sometimes jolting feature). If you want to be able to access 4K video but feel (rightly, I would say) that it's premature to jump into the fully-4k-capable market, then you are going to be hard-pressed to find a better option than this -- a screen that can receive the signal, and then processes through 1080p into Q+. That ("hard pressed to find a better option"), coming from someone who felt there was no better CRT than 2004's Sony 34XBR960, or that the 2008-2009 Pioneer (yes, Pioneer) Kuros stood atop a densely populated plasma market at least until the Panasonic (which inherited much of the Kuros tech) last...
