It is exactly what it claims to be......a simple television with GREAT picture quality. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of other higher priced TVs like built in smart functionality or 3D, but the premium typically added for features like that is usually not worth it (in my opinion obviously). If you want a great TV for the kids bedroom or in the garage (where i put mine) i can't imagine there being a better option from a name brand TV manufacturer. Both of those are absolutely excellent televisions, so I was a little concerned about buying this TV, being a more entry level model with only a 720p screen. For my point of view, I don't play video games, and I don't use my TV speakers. However, I'm very picky about a TV's color being accurate--people should look like people and not cartoons or over saturated. On that last note, every TV needs some initial out-of-the-box adjustment to get the color and contrast right.Much to my surprise, the image quality, clarity, and even the speakers are extremely good for this price point. This is "only" a 720p TV, where my others are 1080p native. However, I purchased this for my spare bedroom where it will get less use.
